  The Curzon Street terminus of the London & Birmingham Railway: elevation by Philip Hardwick 1838.  The North Euston Hotel at Fleetwood, Lancashire, designed by Decimus Burton and opened in 1841. Until 1847, travellers to Scotland from Euston would stay in Fleetwood before taking a ferry to Ardrossan.   The railway pioneer Richard Trevithick demonstrating his experimental locomotive in Euston Square in 1808. This drawing, now at the Science Museum, has recently been exposed as a fake Thomas Rowlandson.  Curzon Street Railway station, Birmingham. This was the sister building to the arch and located the station at the other end of the London and Birmingham Railway line.
